Family: Chaetodontidae Status: Relatively rare Distribution: All main islands Sound file: -- Map: -- This fish can be found at depths of 150 feet or more, but is rare at sport-diving depths of 100 feet or less and, as such, is a valuable find. Once thought to be endemic to Hawai`i, slight variations of it have been found in the Marshall Islands and the Cook Islands.
