F. Christian Thompson

Chris is a Research Entomologist with the Systematic Entomolog Laboratory, Agricultural Research Service, USDA at the Smithsonian Institution, Washington His speciality is flower flies. For the Fiji Arthropod Survey he is also taking on the Anispodidae and Lygistrorhinindae.

Chris begin his career on the infamous Pacific Ocean Biological Survey of the Smithsonian as the above picture of him on Malden in 1967 documents. He has worked on most of the islands in the Central and North Pacific as well as the Hawaiian - Leeward group.
